Your visit with NPOS will start with a personal consultation and physical examination. Further testing to aid in the diagnosis, such as blood test, x-rays or MRI may follow this examination. Conservative measures, such as medication or physical therapy, are often the first line of treatment. If proper conservative treatment has failed to alleviate your symptoms, surgical alternatives may need consideration.
Patients have benefited from technological advances in orthopedic surgery. Joint replacement has allowed replacement of worn out joints, returning millions of people to pain free daily activities. Sports medicine advances, including arthroscopic surgery, has allowed surgical procedures to be done through small incisions in an outpatient setting. |
